Jose Salud Gil left this life on December 21, 2016. He was 69 years young. He left this world with his family and loved ones by his side. He was married to Trinidad Gil. They had five daughters Linda (Julian) Gil; Blanca (Jose Juan) Villasenor; Catalina Gil , Ysalia (Marco) Lara; Rosemary Gil & (Juan) and two sons Eduardo (Isabel) Gil and Luis (Shantel) Gil. He has 9 granddaughters, 7 grandsons and one great grandson.

Jose had to mature at a young age to help raise his siblings due to losing his father at the age of seven. He had to help his mother bring the bread to the table. Even though he had to grow up fast he was always there to help people in need. He was always a giver and never expected anything in return. Jose was always the bright soul in the room. He loved to joke around and make everyone laugh. There was never a dull moment with him. He enjoyed watching wrestling, going fishing, visiting his home town in Mexico, and loved spending time with his family. He loved taking his family on trips, watching his sons play sports, watching his granddaughters dancing at football games and watching her dance shows. He was a great Father and Grandfather. Family was everything to him.

Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday December 27, 2016 at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Rupert. Viewing and Rosary will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday December 26, 2016 at the church. Services are under the direction of Hansen Mortuary.
