Garis Clark Robertson, 80, of Burley, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016, at his home after a long struggle with Parkinsons.

Garis was born May 14, 1935, in Burley, Idaho to John and Alice Robertson. He lived his entire life in Burley. After graduation from Burley High School, he served in the United States Air Force. Garis had many interests, classical music, collecting guns, history and animals of all kinds, especially his many cats. What he enjoyed the most was sharing God's word along with his friends at the area care facilities.

He spent much of his time with his mom-in-law, who he loved deeply. Barbara was the love of his life, as Garis is to her. Barbara describes him as her "loveable curmudgeon".

Garis is survived by his wife, Barbara; nieces, Brooke Steck, Kimberly Beazer, and Caroline Manniello; nephews, Jim Robertson, John Bethke and Mark Bethke; a first cousin, Marilyn; brother-in-Law, Paul (Karen) Bethke; and mother-in-law, Cora Bethke. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dennis Robertson, and step mother, Anne Robertson

Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016, at the Paul Cemetery Chapel. Services are under the direction of Hansen Mortuary.

The family would like to thank Intermountain Home Care and Hospice for the wonderful care of Garis. They would also like to thank Minidoka Home Health and Hospice and his special aids at Accomplishments Home Services. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army or Intermountain Home Care and Hospice.
