Irene V. Blayney, 89, of Rupert, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015, at her home.
Irene was born September 2, 1926, in McIntosh, South Dakota, to August and Rosina Greger Vilhauer. She attended schools in South Dakota and Rupert, Idaho. She married Don Blayney. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Rupert Grange.
She is survived by three children, Karen Irene Blayney of Washington, Linda Marie Wright of Boise, ID, and Marvin Homer Blayney of Rupert; four grandchildren; Nicole Blayney, Jill Blayney Nicholas Blayney, Lauren Blayney and one sister, Darlene Moser of Acequia, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one son, William Henry Blayney.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at the Rupert United Methodist Church with Pastor David Madden officiating. A gathering for family and friends will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2015 at Hansen Mortuary, 710 6th St. Rupert. Burial will conclude services at the Paul Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hansen Mortuary.
