Luis Moralez Jr. 77 of Rupert was called home Saturday May 9, 2015 surrounded by his loving family members.
Luis was born January 20, 1938 in Laredo, Texas to Luis Sr. and Paula Moralez. He married Yolanda Ramirez on March 18, 1956 in Laredo, Texas. With this union of 59 years they had five children. In the early 60's they settled in Idaho. Luis worked for Ore-Ida for many years where he was a foreman. He then later went to work for Simplots. Luis achieved many things in life, one being building two dairies from the ground up and all on his own. He then followed his childhood dream to be a truck driver in which he started at the young age of twelve. He worked for Mart Produce for many years until his retirement. Soon after retiring he then realized that he loved to work too much and then drove for Schows Inc. until his passing. All the while Luis was a jack of all trades whenever there was a job that needed to be done, he took care of it. Luis enjoyed going to car shows and recently purchased his very own classic car. A 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster that he loved driving to church. He was a member of MVCC. He also loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that he loved very much. His family's happiness was his happiness.
Luis is survived by his wife Yolanda Moralez and his five children Diane Scott, Lake City, FL; Sandra Hunt, Twin Falls, ID; Trish Waldron, Lake City, FL; Luis Moralez III, Burley, ID; and Paul Moralez, Burley, Idaho. Seventeen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, brother Alberto and sisters Fidencia, Juanita, Rosa, Estela and Martha. His is preceded in death his parents Luis Moralez Sr. and Paula Moralez and two sisters Irma Moralez and Esperanza Hernandez.
The family would like to thank M.S.T.I and Horizon Hospice and his nurse who was his Granddaughter Sierra Stoker.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday 15, 2015 at the Mountain View Christian Center with Pastor Jim Powell officiating. Viewing for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday May 14, 2015 at Hansen Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow at the Rupert Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hansen Mortuary.
