Lori K.
Fletcher
Aug. 14, 1957 - Oct. 20, 2026
RUPERT – With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lori Fletcher, on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, following a short battle with cancer. After a lifetime of hard work and dedication, Lori was looking forward to enjoying retirement with her husband and family. Sadly, those years were cut far too short.
Rupert, Idaho, was Lori’s longtime home, where she built a life centered on family, hard work, and service to others. She shared 50 years of marriage with her beloved husband, James Fletcher. Together, they raised three children, Cory Fletcher, Eric Fletcher, and Jamilee Coles and were blessed with ten grandchildren. Lori was strong, independent, hardworking, and fiercely protective of those she loved. She was never afraid to speak her mind or stand her ground, and her grandchildren always knew that life jackets were mandatory near the water. Their safety came first.
Lori was a natural leader and a trailblazer for women in factory work, working her way into upper management. While building her career, she attended night school to earn her bachelor’s degree. She later took night classes in American Sign Language so she could communicate with her two deaf children, a reflection of her determination and deep love for her family.
Her caring spirit extended into her community. Lori volunteered with Civil Air Patrol training and search-and-rescue dogs, later participating in pet therapy visits to hospitals, nursing homes, and youth centers. She also volunteered at the theater in Mesquite, always finding ways to give her time and help others.
Lori loved horses and dogs, traveling, and creating art. She enjoyed a good book and a glass of wine, but one of her favorite places was home on the river. She loved kayaking, riding the pontoon boat, and watching the eagles at their nest. She especially enjoyed
welcoming family and friends to her home, which she proudly called the “Fletcher Resort.” It was a gathering place filled with laughter, good times, and memories that her family will treasure for years to come.
Lori will be remembered for her strength, independent spirit, artistic talent, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. Though she deserved more time with James, her children, and grandchildren, the lessons she taught and the memories she created will live on.
No formal service is planned at this time. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for summer of 2027 at the Fletcher Resort. Details will be shared once arrangements have been finalized.
She was deeply loved, will be profoundly missed, and will never be forgotten.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hansen Mortuary of Rupert.
