Judy Bodey RUPERT – Judy Bodey, age 80, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, in Kalispell, Montana.

Judy was born on January 14, 1946, in Ogden, Utah, to Kenneth Clay and Nola Faye. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Texas. She later made Rupert, Idaho, her home for 37 years before moving to Montana with her son, Jay.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bodey; her brother, Lee, with whom she shared a special lifelong bond; and her sister, Linda. She leaves behind her sons, John Paul (Nancy) Bordelon, and Jay Michael (Jerilyn) Bodey; her grandchildren, Amber Ashlyn, Brianna Nichole, Jayden Michelle Bodey, Ethen and Lea Maughan. She will be fondly remembered by additional extended family and many friends who will cherish her memory.

Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness, creativity, and dedication touched many lives. Her passion for education led her to earn her bachelor's degree from Our Lady of the Lake College. Throughout her life, she worked as a teacher, newspaper photographer, and florist. She especially loved being a florist, combining her creativity with her love of flowers and beauty.

A devoted Catholic, Judy was a longtime member of St. Nicholas Church in Rupert. She found joy in tending her garden, capturing moments through photography, playing pinochle with friends, and keeping up with fashion, beauty, and shopping. She was known for her sweet and caring nature and for making those around her feel loved.

Judy will be remembered for her love of family, her generous heart, and the lasting impact she made on those fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

One of Judy's favorite sayings was, "I love you a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck," a simple expression that reflected the warmth and love she shared throughout her life.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 10, at 2 P.M. at the Rupert Cemetery, located at 450 N Meridian, in Rupert, ID 83350. All who wish to pay their respects are welcome to attend.
