Thomas E. Newcomb, 60, of Washington, formerly of Rupert, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012, at the Valley Medical Center in Federal Way, Washington.
Thomas was born November 3, 1951, in Cambridge, Nebraska to Bill and Virginia Newcomb. He moved with his family to Rupert when he was four. He graduated from Minico High School. He enjoyed playing all sports as well as fishing and hunting, but especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and they loved him. He will be missed greatly.
Tom is survived by his mother, Virginia Newcomb of Rupert; his brothers, Ross (Dena) Newcomb of Rupert and Rocky (Cody) Newcomb of Payson, Arizona; his daughter, Taja Dawn (Dan) Baldwin of Burley; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Newcomb and sister, Kristi Temple.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012, at the United Methodist Church, 605 H St. in Rupert, with Pastor Pam Meese officiating. Burial will follow at the Rupert Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rupert United Methodist Chancel Choir or a charity of your choice.
