Alverda Jean Dennis

Alverda Jean Dennis, a loving woman of fortitude and tenacity was born on September
16, 1927 in Lorenzo, Idaho to Arthur Gagnon and Nelda Slater. She lived most of her life in
Acequia, Idaho and did so with exuberance, persistence, and a good sense of humor. She was
later married to Riley Dennis and they had four children. Alverda passed away peacefully on
February 13, 2019 at home surrounded by two of her children. She is preceded in death by her
husband, Riley Dennis and siblings. Alverda leaves behind four children: Sharon, Daniel, Linda,
and Alan. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and
great-great-grandchildren, respectively.
Dubbed Grandma “D,” Alverda was a person with an iron-will that doted on her cats,
cooked for any company, and was someone that would gladly help any of her family if she
could. She will be missed by all and never forgotten as she left her family with an abundance of
love-filled memories.
