Espiridion "Pete" A. Fuentes, Jr.

Espiridion “Pete” A. Fuentes Jr. , 50, of Rupert, Idaho passed peacefully at his home on December 1, 2019. Pete was born on July 14, 1969 in Rupert, Idaho to Espiridion and Santos Fuentes.

Pete was a hero and an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Some of Pete’s passions were the Dallas Cowboys, Motorcycles, watching movies and reading the Bible but his biggest passion was spending time with his son Pete, daughter in law Cecelia and his three beautiful grandchildren Rudy, Genacie and Dallas. Pete was the life of any gathering. Pete had an incredible love for his Christ and Savior, and it showed.  He had a smile and a personality that lit up any room. You always knew when he was around because there was laughter wherever he was at. Pete’s love for his family was like no other. He had a special bond with his mom, dad , each of his siblings and nieces and nephews. Each with their own little secrets and memories. Pete also had love and special bonds with his aunts, uncles and cousins. Pete will remain in our hearts and memories always.

Pete had many adversities in his life, but he always overcame them. Pete’s parents were told that he would never walk or live past the age of 18 years. Pete proved them wrong. Pete rode bikes, played baseball, football, skied, swam like a fish, wrestled, drove motorcycles, got married and had an amazing son.  Pete will be remembered for his strength, determination, bravery and charisma by all who knew and loved him.

Pete is survived by his parents Espiridion (Pete) and Santos Fuentes. His son Espridion (Pete) Fuentes (Cecelia Fuentes) . Three grandchildren Rudy Paredes, Genacie Fuentes and Dallas Fuentes. Pete is also survived by his four siblings. Norma Fuentes (Nans Alcocer), Gabriel Fuentes (Sandra Fuentes), Irma Fuentes and Fernando Fuentes (Melissa Fuentes). Pete is also survived by several nieces and nephews who love him and looked up to him.

Pete is proceeded in death by his grandparents Espiridion and Dionicia Fuentes and Nicholas and Carlota Arredondo and by many aunts and uncles whom he loved with all his heart.

Pete attended schools in Minidoka county through high school. Pete attained his High School Equivalency diploma through Boise State University.

The Fuentes family would like to thank Kippy, Anna and Ken from Harrison Hope for their amazing care and support and Pastor Travis and Pastor Dan for their wisdom, guidance and prayers.

A viewing for family and friends will be held from 6:00 pm -8:00 pm on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Hansen Mortuary in Rupert and for one hour prior to the funeral at the church.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2019 at Grace Church, 100 Meridian in Rupert, Idaho.  Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
