Fred Slippey Obituary
Fred Arthur Slippey Jr., 60, of Rupert, passed on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Countryside Care and Rehab in Rupert due to complications from cancer.
Fred was born April 16, 1951, to Fred and Stella Belle Baird Slippey in Susanville, California.
Fred leaves behind a daughter, Michelle Couch of California; sons, Cory A. Slippey of Rupert and Beau J. Slippey of Cave Junction, OR; a grandson, Brandon Slippey; and two granddaughters, Samantha Kay and Colby Ann Slippey; siblings, Karen Hale, Charlie Ray Slippey, Edward Slippey, Allen Lee Slippey, Mary K. Smith, and Ray Pritchett. He is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Virginia Slippey; and a brother, David Slippey.
Fred leaves behind a world of friends, life-long friends that will miss him every time they hit that fishing hole and go after that monster buck, crack a cold one at the start of the game or go do nine at the Ponderosa. He loved life and lived it every chance he got. He never had much, but what he had meant the world to him. He will be missed and not forgotten.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at the Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn, ID under the direction of Hansen Mortuary.
