Rita Harris

Rita Thomson Dixon Harris, 73 of Rupert passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Rita Harris was born on  June 24, 1945 in Boise Idaho.  She was born at the Children Home where she was adopted by Earl and Elizabeth Thompson. Rita was the answer of many years of prayer.

She was raised in Rexburg, Idaho. She graduated from Madison High School with honors, continuing her education she graduated from Business College, where she graduated top of her class.

She married Chris Dixon and had two boys, Don and Robert Dixon. They later divorced and she later married Robert Harris.

Rita was a beautiful piano player was known for her Divinity Christmas Candy.

Rita is Survived by her Husband Robert Harris, Sons Don Dixon (Rupert, Idaho), Robert Dixon (Kuna, Idaho), Sister WaNola Hemsley (Rupert, Idaho). Grandchildren Christopher, Toni, Damon and Shar Dixon plus four great grand kids.

She was preceded by her parents Earl Thomson and Elizabeth Stone Thomson, brother Roger Thomson and brother in Law Richard Hemsley

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2019 at Hansen Mortuary. Viewing for family and friends will be held for one hour prior to the services will conclude with burial in the Rupert Cemetery under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
