Alan Brady Obituary

Alan Wayne Brady of Rupert, Idaho passed away At Copper Ridge Health Care in West Jordan, Utah on October 14, 2021 at the age of 45.

Alan was born May 12, 1976 to Verle “Butch” Brady and Gayle Kifer Brady (Spencer) in Rupert.  The youngest and only boy in the family, Alan definitely enjoyed the spoils of being the baby brother.

Alan had many great accomplishments, but the greatest joy in his life was being a father to his three children Austin, Rashell and Preston.  He loved nothing more than to brag of their accomplishments.  More light came to Alan’s life when he was blessed with his three grandchildren, his “Little Princess” Azeara, Zalan and Zerik.

Alan was the Supervisor of the City Street Department and Chief of East End Fire Department until a UTV accident on May 17, 2014 left him paralyzed from the neck down.

Alan was a busy man that was always willing to help anyone out.  He loved camping, fishing, riding his 4 wheeler, boating, building and racing lawn mowers or just tinkering in his shop.  Alan will be remembered for many things including his leadership and mentoring abilities, his outgoing can-do personality; love for music, singing and dancing; and above all his quick witted sense of humor.

Alan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Eula Brady (Rupert) and Fred and Dorothy Kifer (Rupert); Uncle Melvin Brady, Aunt Janet Brady and Uncle Tom Kifer.

His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his survivors; children Austin Brady, Lana Rashell Brady (Zamar Johnson) and Preston Brady; grandchildren Azeara, Zalan and Zerik; his parents Verle “Butch” and Melodee Brady (Rupert), Gayle and Merlin Spencer (Utah); his sisters Lisa (Paul) Oveson, Jodie (Mike) Carroll, Allison (Kamal) Sabeh; step brothers, Mike (Mary), Terry, Patrick (Rhonda) and Shaun Ellinger and Steven Spencer; nieces and nephews Amber Lindstrom-Oveson Wright, Brianne Oveson, Mandi Oveson White, Trever Oveson, Colton Brady and Jordyn Sabeh as well as many great nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Alan’s life at a viewing to be held at Hansen Mortuary located at 710 6th Street, Rupert, Idaho on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a celebration of life service at 2:00.  Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
