Alice May Marshall, died on August 24, 2023, at her home in Jackson, ID. Alice was born on October 15, 1964, to William and Luetta Tully in Upland, California and later graduated from Montclair High School. Alice attended Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, California before heading to Cal Poly University in Pomona, California where she earned her bachelor's degree in social work in 1988. She then worked for San Bernardino County for fifteen years as a social worker in child protective services. She was blessed with her daughter Lauren in 2001, a gift that fulfilled her dream to be a mom. Alice and Lauren moved to Idaho in 2005 where she greatly enjoyed raising Lauren and where she found a great community that treated her like family for the last 18 years. During her time in Idaho, she served as a social worker and started Squeakers Cleaners, both of which directly improved the quality of life for many people in the mini-cassia area. Throughout Alice’s life, she was a devout member of the United Methodist Church, where she fostered a strong and lasting faith. Alice married John Marshall in 2012 and gained a loving family through his siblings, children, and grandchildren. Alice is survived by her husband John Marshall of 11 years, daughter Lauren Brascia and her husband Vince Brascia, Alice’s siblings Kathleen Sanders, Patricia Munden, and William Tully, along with many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
A viewing will be held at Hansen Mortuary from 11am - 1pm on Friday, September 1st. The funeral service will follow at 2pm at the Minidoka Acequia Rupert Cemetery. A celebration of life with lunch to follow will be held at Rupert United Methodist Church at 10am on Saturday, September 2nd. Services are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
