Benjamin "El Cachorro" Hurtado

Benjamin “El Cachorro” Hurtado, 44, was born to the late Ignacio Hurtado and Consuelo Vega in Tunguitiro, Michoacan, Mexico on December 4, 1977.  He later moved to Idaho and resided in Parma, Declo, Nampa, Caldwell and had settled in Burley, Idaho for the last 14 years. 

Benjamin was always a hard-working and ambitious person.  “¡Échale ganas!” (“Work hard!”) and “¡Disfruta la vida!” (“Enjoy life!”) was his life advice.  Benjamin wanted everyone around him to succeed and live to the fullest just like he did. 

Benjamin is proceeded in death by his father, Ignacio Hurtado; his brother, Pedro Hurtado; and nephew, Alex Hurtado.  He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Rios; daughter, Ayalene Hurtado; son, Anthony Hurtado; stepdaughters, Alexa Gonzales and Audriyana Gonzales; step-son, Aiden Gonzales; mother Consuelo Vega; step-father, Ignacio Cisneros; siblings, Ezmeralda (Armando) Leon, Martin (Laura) Hurtado, Lidia Hurtado, Mariana (Robert) Godina, Rosa (Abelardo) Hernandez, Cecilia (Michael) Carter; and many nephews and nieces.

Benjamín “El Cachorro” Hurtado, de 44 años, nació del difunto Ignacio Hurtado y Consuelo Vega en Tunguitiro, Michoacán, México el 4 de diciembre de 1977. Más tarde se mudó a Idaho y residió en Parma, Declo, Nampa, Caldwell y se estableció en Burley, Idaho durante los últimos 14 años.

Benjamin siempre fue una persona trabajadora y ambiciosa. “¡Échale ganas!” y “¡Disfruta la vida!” eran sus consejos de la vida. Benjamin quería que todos a su alrededor tuvieran éxito y vivieran al máximo como él.

Benjamín es precedido en muerte por su padre, Ignacio Hurtado; su hermano, Pedro Hurtado; y sobrino, Alex Hurtado. Le sobreviven su esposa, Dorothy Rios; hija, Ayalene Hurtado; hijo, Antonio Hurtado; hijastras, Alexa Gonzales y Audriyana Gonzales; hijastro, Aiden Gonzáles; madre Consuelo Vega; padrastro, Ignacio Cisneros; hermanos, Ezmeralda (Armando) Leon, Martin (Laura) Hurtado, Lidia Hurtado, Mariana (Robert) Godina, Rosa (Abelardo) Hernandez, Cecilia (Michael) Carter; y muchos sobrinos y sobrinas.

A viewing and recitation of the Rosary will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2022 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Rupert.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2022 also at St. Nicholas Catholic Church.  Burial will take place at the Parma Cemetery in Parma, Idaho following the Funeral Mass.  Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
