Bruce Hossfeld 70 of Paul, suddenly passed away on February 14, 2022, from a heart attack. Bruce was born October 24, 1951, in Horton, KS to Louis and Ruth Hossfeld. He was the oldest of four boys. Bruce graduated from Powhattan High School in Powhattan, KS and later attended three years of college.
In 1974, Bruce moved to Idaho. In 1976 he married his wife of 46 years, Connie Haynes. Together they raised two wonderful children, Shane and Heidi.
Bruce worked many years in the automotive industry, ending his career in 2018 at Lindsay Irrigation. Bruce served on the Paul City Council for 14 years. At the time of his death, he was Mayor to the great City of Paul, where he had the privilege of serving his community for the last 6 years. He was active on many committees in the community and was loved and respected by all who knew him.
Bruce enjoyed all things outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Bruce is survived by his wife Connie Hossfeld of Paul, son Shane Hossfeld of Kuna, daughter Heidi (Tar) Lloyd of Oakley, granddaughter Kyra Lloyd and grandson Logan Lloyd. Brothers, Vaughn, Kevin and Kirk and mother-in-law Helen Haynes of Burley. He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Gene Haynes.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2022, at Hansen Mortuary, 710 6th Street, Rupert, ID. A visitation for friends and family will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Hansen Mortuary. Services are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
