Casandra R. Wagnaar

Casandra Wagnaar was born to David and Dawn Harris on September 23, 1986, in California then moved to Washington where she grew up, went to school and enlisted in the Army as an MP.  She married Eric Burkeviccs and had Kylee and Leyna Burkevics.  They later divorced and married Matt Wagnaar.  Together they moved to Rupert, Idaho and had two beautiful kids Kole and Harli Wagnaar.  She loved and cherished all her children deeply.  Matt had an accident and couldn’t weld anymore.  Together they started a mechanic shop where Matt taught Casandra everything about mechanics.  She could fix anything and learned how to do invoicing and interlock devices for DUI drivers.  She started attending Brothers in Christ in 2017 and there she reclaimed the Lord Jesus Christ.  Soon after joining the Brothers in Christ M/M to give back to her community she accepted the WebMaster roll.  She was given her road name Edison because of all the amazing ideas and the countless hours she dedicated  to photo shooting and using her amazing computer talents and off the wall ideas that brought everyone together.  She was a bright light to everyone she interacted with.  Everyone that knew her saw what an amazing woman she was.  She had a contagious laugh and a wonderful smile.  You will always be in our hearts, our precious angel.  I know you’re here looking over Matt and your kids.  Your presence will always be felt, your smile will be seen forever.  You were taken to soon but God needed the brightest angel to be with us to guide us through these darkened roads that we will face, just know your presence will be felt in our darkest moments.  Thank you for letting us spend the time we did with you.  We will always love you and hold you close to our hearts.

A viewing for family and friends will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday March 11, 2023 with the funeral service starting at 2:00 p.m. also on Saturday at Hansen Mortuary in Rupert.  After the services Brothers in Christ welcomes you to our church 123 K Street, Rupert, for your encounters with Casandra and some good food, we would love to hear how she impacted your life. Service arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
