Chad Ashford Obituary

Chad O’Donald Ashford passed away in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 28th, 2020 with his beloved wife Jodi, and his older brother Eric, at his side.  He passed peacefully from a rare form of T-cell lymphoma after a year of challenging health struggles.

Chad grew up in Simi Valley, California.  Chad’s favorite childhood pastime was riding ATVs and camping in Glamis with Eric, his favorite cousin Jeanna, and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He loved playing roller hockey, ice hockey, and soccer on competitive leagues in his youth.  He was an outstanding athlete.

Chad was a devoted husband.  He met and married the love of his life, Jodi Ashford, in Provo, Utah.  They were married in 2001, and later sealed in the Bountiful, Utah temple.  They had a beautiful marriage and know this relationship will continue in eternity.  Chad loved his date nights with Jodi, and spending time with her was one of his greatest priorities and joys.

Chad and Jodi raised their family for 16 years in Idaho, and thoroughly enjoyed being close to Jodi’s family.  Chad adored his in-laws, and the time he had being surrounded by family that loved him so much.

Chad was a loving father and found great joy in seeing his children happy and doing well.  He loved to spoil his kids, and surprise them with heartfelt gifts and undivided attention.

Chad had a dynamic personality that charmed everyone he came in contact with.  He saw value in every person and made all feel better about themselves after spending time with him.  He truly saw the best in others and loved to make others happy.

Chad is preceded in death by his grandparents Don and Barbara Ashford, and Roger Herron.  Chad is survived by his cherished wife Jodi Ashford; his children Aiden, Ivan, and Elizabeth; his brother Eric Ashford (Trisha); sisters Renee Ashford and Kaitlin Bolen; father Michael Ashford; mother Sandy Bolen (Tony); and grandmother Esther Herron.
