Connie Clark was born May 22, 1945 and passed peacefully December 20, 2021 at the age of 76.
She was born to Conrad Bert Hanson and Olive America (Evans) in Portland, Oregon where she spent her early years enjoying the coastal area.
In her adolescent years, she was lovingly welcomed into the home of her sister and brother-in-law following her mother's death. Here she was doted on as she was the only girl in a home with four boys. Her sister was and continued to be her mentor and best friend.
Shortly after graduating from Burley High, she met and married Loel Banzhaf. The two loved the outdoors and camping and fishing together. They had four children, Esther, Loel Jr., Jackie, and Annette.
Connie later married Robert Thomas and had a son, Robert Jr. and eventually married her good friend, Ronald Clark.
She was known for her ability as a seamstress, a cook and gardening but her biggest source of pride were her children. In her late 40's Connie went back to school and earned her certificate as a Certified Nursing Aid. With this she worked at both an assisted living facility and a skilled nursing facility where she was known for her compassion, friendliness and sitting with those who had no family when they passed so they wouldn't be alone.
Connie is survived by her daughters, Esther (Kelly) Koepnick and Annette Pitts along with sons, Loel (Paige) Banzhaf and Robert Thomas, son in law Allen Moore and nephews Bob Dayley, Dennis (Marie) Dayley, Rex (Nancy) Dayley and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, her sister Barbara Dayley, brother Ber far Welch, daughter Jackie Moore and nephew Jay Dayley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday December 28, 2021 at the Burley West Stake Center. Burial will follow at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
