D. Irene Gustaveson, 83, left us on August 6, 2024, while residing in Fort Worth, Texas.
Irene was born in Carter, Wyoming on December 23, 1940. She was number 6 out of 8 children born to David Jasper and Iona Ducine Elmer.
Irene lived in Idaho, Utah, and Texas. She loved gardening, travel, reading, and cooking for others. She worked throughout her life in food service.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she worked continuously in family history.
Irene is survived by her sisters, Verla Winans, Ivy Allene Elmer Orr, Doreen (Gary) Everett, and brother, David (Jeanie) Elmer, 1 son, Jeff MacKay, 2 daughters, Susan MacKay, and Patty (Bob) Tucker, 8 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday August 12, 2024 Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary Cemetery Cemetery, Sandy, Utah. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
