After 30 years of marriage, Claralynne passed away after a battle with cancer.

Jim then met and married Laurie Coats. Together they served a mission to Cove Fort, Utah and they also served in the Logan Temple. They were married until she passed away.

He then met and married Edna Lou Eames. Together they traveled and spent a great deal of time doing temple work.
