David Gene Anderson, 83, of Heyburn Idaho died September 5, 2024, in Rupert Idaho.
He was born July 28th, 1941, in Elk Creek, Nebraska to David Anderson and Estella Kaster. He was the final addition to the family joining his older brother Clifford.
He graduated in 1959 at Twin falls Idaho. Served national guard from 1963-1969 at Ford Ord Ca. Married Johann Dorchak March 30 1963.
He was best known for his time running Maxie’s Pizza and at Simplot. In his free time, you could find him reading his favorite author Louis Lamour, camping or tinkering in his shed. He loved to talk.
He was survived by his children Jeri Chapa (Anderson) and Gene Anderson-Rice and Don Rice, his grandchildren Amber (Young) and Aaron Snider, Robert and Melissa Young, Anthony Young, Trenika Anderson and Cergio Chapa. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Anyssa, Jaykob, Dominic, Kenzi, Carleigh, Brielle, Jarron, Brayden and Joshua.
He was preceded in death by his wife Johann, his brother Cliff and grandchildren Heather Young and Jenny Rice and sister Mary.
The family would like to thank Countryside Care and Rehab for all the love and care they have for him. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
