David Norman Pockel

David Norman Pockel, 80 years old, passed away with his family around him on October 26, 2022. He was born March 8, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan to Norman and Magdeline Pockel.

David lived with his wife and kids in Burley, Idaho.

David is proceeded in death by his parents, his father-in-law Forest McCarty, two sons Bill Pockel and Christopher Pockel, and many Aunts and Uncles.

David is survived by his wife Ginger Pockel, his mother-in-law Viola McCarty, two daughters Stephanie (Paul) Richins, and Polly (Clay Anderson) Pockel, four grandchildren Katie (Aaron) Werst, Calen Richins, Eric (Amber) Pockel, and Aspen Anderson, one great grandchild Riannon Lopez, his brother Walt (Jackie) Pockel, and his sister Carol (Kirk) Wascher, and the many kids that adopted him as Grandpa or dad.

David loved hunting, fishing, camping, and most of all playing in the dirt. He loved spending time with his family. David liked to go for rides around town just to check things out and he always made a new friend wherever he went.

A special thank you to Dr. Swenson, MISTI Medical Team, Rupert Hospital, and Portneuf Medical Center for all of the care they gave to David.

Memorial Services for David will be held 11:00 A.M. November 19, 2022 at the Paul Congregational Church,  121 N 2nd W St.  Paul, Idaho .
