Delbert “Zip” Carl Chandler, 84, died peacefully at his home in Rupert, Idaho on February 12, 2023. He was born to James and Maudie Chandler on November 13, 1938 in Monmouth, Oregon. He was the 11th of 12 children with 8 brothers and 3 sisters. Zip was proceeded in death by both of his parents, 7 brothers and 2 sisters. Zip is survived by his loving wife Mary Lue, bother Dale Chandler, sisters June Chandler, Freda (Bob) Caywood, JoAnna (Gary) Cook, Wendy Robbins and James Taylor. He is also survived by his grandchildren Bobby Taylor, Thayne Petersen, Chance Robbins, Gena Dean, Ashely Cook, Nicole Pullin, Emily Brown, Tanisha Taylor, Stetson Taylor and 13 great grandchildren that delighted him. Zip served in the Air Force in Alaska as a radar operator. Zip is a new member to the Church of Latter Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptized on September 26th 2022. He loved working and restoring antique tractors. He knew people everywhere he went, and he kept us all amused with a never-ending supply of stories and a unique sense of humor.
