Eddy McGraw Obituary

Eddy Allen “Ed” McGraw, 63-year-old resident of Declo, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020, at his home in Declo.

Ed was born November 30, 1956, in Burley, Idaho to James and Elda (Kidd) McGraw. He was the only boy joining three sisters, Lynda, Lorine and Judy. Ed attended Declo schools and after that began working at a young age to support his family. He married Terri Jo Riding in 1978 and welcomed two children; Chad and Brandi. Ed and Terri were married for 26 years. In 2004, Ed married Pamela Wood and gained two step-children; Jayson and Maralie.

Ed was always a hard worker.  He worked in the irrigation business for many years eventually starting his own business, McGraw’s Pivot Service.  Ed loved fishing, hunting, camping and anything to do with the outdoors.  We will cherish every trip we had with him and miss him dearly.  We’ll never go on another camping trip or watch another John Wayne movie without thinking of him.  Ed was a “big old teddy bear” and loved any time he spent with his kids and grandchildren.  He had an extra special bond with his grandson, Brody. They were almost inseparable. They were best fishing buddies and Brody really looked up to and took care of grandpa.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, his sister (Lorine Earl) and a brother-in-law (Richard Burton).

Ed is survived by his wife, Pam; his children, Chad (Desny) McGraw and Brandi McGraw (Kevin Pepper); his grandchildren Brody McGraw, Savannah Thorne, Grace McGraw and Cooper Ed McGraw; his step children Jayson Wood and Maralie Gruner; his step-grandchildren Jordyn, Julya, Sophie, Kendelle, Maddison and Garrett; his siblings Lynda Burton and Judy (Ardel) Wickel; a special person whom he thought of like a son, Cordel Pfiefer; as well as many nieces and nephews.

As per Ed’s wishes, there will be no formal service.  We will hold a small gathering with family and friends in the near future.

The family would like to thank all the friends and family who have reached out during this difficult time, as well as the paramedics and first responders who assisted him on April 12.

He was an amazing dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend and he will be forever missed.
