Edythe Jeanette Heuston

Edythe Jeanette Heuston, 70, of Rupert, passed away Tuesday May 16, 2023, at home. She was born June 26, 1952 to George Wayne Pehrson and Edythe Arlene Fullmer Pehrson in Rexburg, Idaho. She went by the name Jeanette. When Jeanette was a small child her parents relocated to the Rupert area for Jeanette’s health. Jeanette was the youngest of four children. As a young girl Jeanette was quite the tomboy. She loved playing baseball and hanging out with her older brothers Billy and DeLayne and also loved spending time with her older sister Linda.

Jeanette graduated from Minico High School in 1970. In 1971 she met the love of her life Rolland Dennis Heuston. Dennis and Jeanette were married July 3, 1972 and later sealed for eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on September 1, 2007.  They welcomed two children; Gypsy Lynette and Christopher Kelsey Heuston. Jeanette attended and graduated from the College of Southern Idaho Police Academy in 1981. After graduation Jeanette started working as a security guard at Ore-Ida Foods where she retired in 1992. During her career as a security guard Jeanette received multiple certifications and awards.

Jeanette was always helping to care for those that she loved. Including her parents as they were passing, her children, and all her grandchildren. Jeanette had a green thumb and adored her yard, garden and flower beds. She had spent many hours convincing and recruiting her grandchildren to help her weed the whole property.

Jeanette was preceded in death by both her parents Wayne and Edythe Pehrson, her older sister Linda Berry and one older brother Delyane Pehrson. She is survived by her husband Dennis Heuston, their children Gypsy Heuston-Martinez and Christopher (Rashell) Heuston. Five grandchildren Jaunette Martinez (Victor Reyes), Stetson (Alex) Heuston, Jase (Samantha) Martinez, Marshall Heuston and Shiloh Heuston. Seven great grandchildren Kendryx Martinez, TJ Barajas, Liam Heuston, Luna Reyes, Kaimbry Martinez, Christian Reyes and Anthony Reyes. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2023, at Hansen Mortuary in Rupert. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday June 1, 2023, and one hour prior to the services at the mortuary.  Services will conclude with burial in the Rupert Cemetery under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
