Eleanor Elberta Eckley Durfee (Bertie) died Wednesday, March 3, 2020 at Rupert, Idaho. She was born February 29, 1948 in Ontario, Oregon to Albert Clay and Gertrude Esther May Eckley.
Eleanor loved her family, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, bowling, dancing and most of all watching her grandchildren.
The Durfee family would like to extend a thank you to Hospice Visions for the care they gave their mother. They also wish to thank the Dream Foundation for bringing her granddaughters and great-grandson to Rupert to allow her entire family to be together and the Idaho Army National Guard for their dontaions.
She is survived by her husband Bill Durfee, her daughters Rebecca Fairchild, Kturah Kragovich sons Bill Durfee, Dennison Durfee, 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and her brother Donald Eckley.
Bertie was preceded in death by her parents Albert Clay and Gertrude May Sheppard Eckley, 4 brothers Lloyd, Kenneth, Keith and Les and one sister Orlla lee Eckley.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2020 at Hansen Mortuary in Rupert. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2020 also at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service on Monday. Services will conclude with burial in the Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
