Erskine “Bud” Crowell, 72, of Rupert, Idaho passed away on March 11, 2023 due to natural causes.
“Bud” was born on August 10, 1950 in Monroe, North Carolina to Erskine Crowell Sr. and Mary Crowell. Bud was the oldest of 8 children. He was proceeded in death by his parents and three siblings.
Bud is survived by his companion of 33 years, Jeanette Hilling, four brothers, two sons (JR Crowell and Chris Crowell) and grandchildren.
“Bud” served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. Bud left the service to farm in North Carolina. He later started driving semi-trucks for 41 years, finding a home in Rupert, Idaho and later retired in February of 2021. After retirement, he was able to enjoy his hobby farm and custom farming operation. Many who knew him, knew him for working with his hands, working long hours and helping anyone that was in need of his help. He was a man with a big heart and an extra hand always willing to help.
The family would like thank his very special hospice nurses, Tiffany & Ilene, the staff at the VA hospital in Twin Falls, Idaho and the many friends that supported him during his last months.
The memorial service will at Hansen Mortuary in Rupert, Idaho on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest following the service at Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn, Idaho. A small luncheon will be held at the Heyburn LDS Church on Vista Street following the interment service. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
