Francisco Nava Najera passed away on July 28, 2024, at the age of 73, in his hometown of Paul, Idaho. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Francisco came out a hero and stayed strong on his own terms until the end.
Francisco met the love of his life, Lupe, while making deliveries in their hometown in Mexico. It was love at first sight, and they supported each other every step of the way. Together, they had two children: Irma and Juan "Panchito".
Francisco migrated to the US as a teenager with his brother. He worked for over thirty years at Sun Valley Potatoes. Francisco was a man of his word, loyal, and valued the importance of family. His grandchildren brought him immense joy and he loved them dearly. He had a special name for each one of them.
Francisco is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Lupe, his parents, Roberto and Maria Isabel Nava, his mother-in-law Juana Duarte Muniz, and his beloved uncle, Lupe. He is survived by his daughter, Irma (Manuel) Magana, son, Juan (Maria) Nava, and his beloved grandchildren, Yasmin, Manuel, Aaron, Gabriela, and Alan. His sibblings Benjamin (Ofelia), Rafael, Esperanza, Alicia,Irma,Tere and Lupe and nieces and nephews who will also miss him dearly.

Francisco will be honored at Little Flower Catholic Church on August 2, 2024. Rosary will be held from 10:30 – 11 am, Mass at 11am, and funeral procession to follow at the Paul Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
