Harold Clive West, beloved husband and father, was born 5 March 1943 in Boise, Idaho, of goodly parents, Alice Melinda Casper and Ray Walker West. Harold died at his home on 15 October 2021.

Harold had a happy childhood. His family moved a few times and Vale,

Oregon was one he talked about frequently. When he was a Senior in High School his parents moved to Heyburn, Idaho, for employment at Ore-Ida in Burley, Idaho. Harold finished High School at Minico.

After graduation Harold and his brother, Ralph, moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, to attend Weltech College where they graduated two years later. This education served them well as they both worked in the Aerospace Industry in California and later Telecommunications in Idaho and Arizona.

Harold was drafted into the U.S. Army in about 1966-1967 and served two years in El Paso, Texas. After his honorable discharge he met his future wife, Sheila Butler, and they were later married in the Idaho Falls Temple on 3 September 1971 and spent fifty happy years together. To this union were born Sherita in 1972, Shayne in 1974, Scott in 1975 (deceased), Stanley in 1977, Shanon in 1979, David in 1983, Seth in 1986, Cedric in 1988 (stillborn), Christopher in 1989, and Alexander in 1992.

Harold installed and maintained telephone systems, radio telephones, microwave repeater towers in all types of weather both in Idaho and Arizona. He was also in charge of the communications during the Teton Dam break and the Oakley Dam incident.

Harold also was the Telecommunication Manager for the whole state of Arizona for the Federal Government. He drove all over the state to repair and replace equipment. He also worked as part of the fire overhead teams and really enjoyed riding in the helicopters.

Harold was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day

Saints and served in various callings and spent a lot of time in the temple.

After retirement Harold suffered many serious ailments and it's good to la-row that he no longer suffers. He was a kind and understanding husband, father, and grandfather. We had ten children and twenty-four grandchildren (natural and adopted) and one great-grandchild. We bid him farewell until we meet at Jesus feet in the resurrection to dwell with our loved ones forever.

We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Hansen Mortuary and to all those that have ministered to us so generously. Interment will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, 29 October 2021 at the View Cemetery 600 S 700 E Burley, Idaho 83318. Services are under the direction of Joel Heward, Hansen Mortuary.
