James (Jim) Robert Fennell

James (Jim) Robert Fennel, 72 year old Burley resident, peacefully passed away Sunday July 13, 2025, at home.

Jim was born on September 6, 1952, in Rupert, Idaho to James L. and Rosa Fennell. He loved spending time with his grandchildren Bronson and Mattie Fennell. He was always tinkering in his shop and often surprising Glinda with a new birdhouse. If he wasn’t in his shop, he could be found working in the garden or yard. In his earlier years he was an avid duck and goose hunter.

He is survived by his wife, Glinda Fennell of Burley, his son Derek Fennell, daughter in law Christina Fennell of Twin Falls. Grandchildren Bronson Fennell and Mattie Fennell Twin Falls and numerous nieces and nephews. His sisters Rosalie Rush Kuna Idaho, Rita (Milo) Svoboda Paul, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marlene Fredrickson, brother-in-law Ken Fredrickson and father-in-law ER Darlington. 

At Jim’s request there will not be a service, a Celebration of Life will be held August 2, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Fennell residence 68 East 200 South Burley, Idaho. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
