Jenifer Lynne Fairchild was born on August 21, 1982, in Phoenix, Arizona.  She was the oldest child of Joseph and Janette Fairchild.  She passed away peacefully on July 19, 2023, in Pocatello, Idaho.

Jenifer was preceded in death by both sets of her grandparents.  She is survived by her parents, Joseph and Janette Fairchild and her siblings, Cory Mangini (Joey), Nicole Ray (Kellan), Michael Fairchild (Breyanna) and Jeff Fairchild.  She is also survived by her eight nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

Jenifer entered the world eight weeks prematurely and spent her life defying odds.  Born with Cri du Chat Syndrome, she was not expected to live beyond twelve years old.  She learned to walk, communicate with American Sign Language, and perform many self-care tasks.  Despite her physical delays, when she set her mind to a task, she was able to accomplish it.

Jenifer had a quick wit and sense of humor.  She loved Kellan’s food train wreck, laughing at her brothers, and watching people being pulled over by the police.  She made many friends throughout her years in schools and day programs which she loved dearly.  She freely forgave and loved fiercely.  Being the oldest, her siblings grew up knowing “That was just Jenifer”.  She had the most distinct and infectious laugh that will be missed greatly.

Jenifer loved necklaces, mylar balloons, “The Wheels on the Bus” and singing along to musicals, specifically Sister Act 2.  She loved bubbles, dollar bills and going shopping.  She would steal her Daddy’s dessert and loved to dance with him.  Her angel mother was her greatest love.

Funeral services will be held on July 27, 2023, at 11 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 806 G Street in Rupert, Idaho.  A viewing will be held an hour before the funeral and Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 6-8pm at Hansen Mortuary.  For those unable to attend in person, please request a virtual link from a family member.
