Joya Pearson Obituary

Joya James Pearson, age 67, passed away May 10, 2021 from diabetic complications. Joya was born in Blaine County on December 31, 1953 to Duane and Edna Pearson. The oldest of eight children, Joya spent his life in Idaho where he loved fishing, boating, and hunting with his friends. He was a self employed, self taught mechanic and all around Jack-of-all-trades. He had a gruff exterior, but underneath beat a heart of gold. He is survived by his siblings; Patty (Luis) Velasquez, Jules (Tonya) Pearson, Joan (Nate) Board, Jay Pearson, Terry Bourquin and Tina (Dan) Rose along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, his parents, numerous aunts and uncles, his sister Jeanine, and sister-in-law Laura. Joya will be greatly missed by all. No services are planned Cremation is under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
