Kenneth Irvin Craythorn returned to his Heavenly home on December 26, 2024. Kenneth was born on June 23, 1934 in Emerson, Idaho to Irvin Bybee and Anges Leona Moore. As a child and youth he spent many hours helping with the family farm. He served a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in England from 1954-1956. Where he found a passion for family history. He served in the Army, stationed in California at Camp Irwin from 1957-1959. Where he went to Cook School.
In 1958 he met Elveda Renon Randall. They were Sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple August 19,1960. They started their married life in Springdale, Idaho and later in 1964 they moved to their home in Heyburn where they lived the majority of their life. Together they raised five beautiful children, three sons and two daughters. Professionally he helped with the family farm, cooked in the army as well as in many local restaurants. He was also a custodian for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -Day Saints.
He loved Music. Kenneth was known for his green thumb. He was passionate about plants and flowers. He could grow anything. He received many awards over the years for his flowers. He loved to be outside working and you would always find him out in his yard tending to his plants and many small animals.
He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints all of his life and served in many different callings over the years. He is survived by his loving wife Renon Craythorn, his brother Earl Craythorn, His children Gale (Sheri) Craythorn, Karma Bishop, Lynn (Shereen) Craythorn, Letita (Aaron) Nieto, 18 Grandchildren and 32 Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Irvin and Leona Craythorn, 6 siblings, son Neal Craythorn, Granddaughter Caroline Craythorn and Great Grandson Josiah Nieto. The Family would like to thank Hospice and Highland Estates for all the care and help given to Kenneth and his family.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Emerald 2nd Ward building. Viewing for family and friends will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Services will conclude with burial in the Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary
