LaWana (Hayes) Carotta

La Wana was born to Lawrence and Bonnie Hayes in Coalville, Utah on April 29, 1942. She died on June 16, 2024, at her home near Pacific City, Oregon.

La Wana was the third of four children. Donna Sperry, and Paul Hayes, both deceased and David Hayes (Doe) of Fairfax, CA.

La Wana moved to Rupert, Idaho, in her junior year of Highschool. There she met her future husband and love of her life, Dallas Carotta. They Married June 26,1960 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rupert, Idaho. They lived in several different towns in Idaho, Colorado and Oregon because of work. They fell in love with the Oregon Coast and built their dream home with an ocean view. They were able to enjoy this home for many years until she passed away.

Lawana is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Carotta of Pacific City, Oregon and Susan Ghiotta (Mike) of Portugal

On Saturday, August 24th starting at 11:00am There will be a graveside service for La Wana at the Rupert Cemetery with a luncheon following at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rupert. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary
