Leslie (Sandy) was born on August 19, 1966 to Arthur L. Parton and Helen May (Ballance) Parton in Burley. Sandy was the second child with an older brother Wesley and younger brother Jeffrey and a sister Christina. Sandy lived his whole life in Rupert, going to school and graduating from Minico in 1986. Sandy worked with his grandfather Jack Ballance driving tow trucks while still in high school. After high school Sandy joined the Rupert East End Fire Department and the Rupert City Police Reserves. Sandy married Carrie Marion, they were later divorced. After selling the tow trucks he went to work for MID. Later he drove truck for Doug and Marlyce Tuma. Driving trucks of any kind was his passion.
Sandy is preceded in death by his father Art Parton, Grandpa & Grandma Jack & Ethel Ballance, Grandparents Ernie and Rose Parton, several uncles and aunts. Sandy is survived by his mother Helen Parton, Rupert; brothers: Wes (Lyn) Parton, Spokane, WA.; Jeff Parton, Rupert, sister: Chris Parton, WA.; niece: Angela Parton, Spokane, Shealyn Parton, Twin Falls, nephews: Joseph, Colton & Curtis, Rupert, Uncle: (Lucky) Howard (Carolyn) Ballance, Rupert, Aunt: Annie (Marty) Holmes, Albion, special cousins John (Jeni) & Jerry Balance and many other special cousins and friends.
The family suggests that donations be made to the East End Fire Department.
Family viewing was held on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 12:30 at Hansen Mortuary. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 12th at 2:00 P.M. also at Hansen Mortuary.
