Linda Laura Timmons, 69, of Rupert, Idaho, died Thursday October 24, 2024, in Twin Falls, Idaho. Linda was born in Laredo Texas on December 16, 1954, to Frank and Elva Salias Garner. She was the oldest of seven children born to the Garners. Linda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rupert.
Linda grew up in Acequia, Idaho. In 1973 she met the love of her life Eddy Timmons. On February 28, 1975, they were married and made their home in Acequia. In May of 1976 they welcomed their daughter Salina. Six and half years later in August of 1982 they welcomed another daughter, Crystal.
Linda worked many years baling hay and working in the potato processing plants in Rupert and Paul. She also worked at the Maverick convenience store and station in Rupert. In the early 90’s she became a homemaker. She loved planting and working in her garden and flowers, and she also loved crocheting and quilting.
In December of 1992 her sister had a handsome baby boy, Austin Garner that she loved like her own and helped raise him.
She had her first grandchild in December 2003, Oscar Flores Jr., he was her world.
Linda is survived by her daughters Salina Smith (Danny) and Crystal Moelling (Geffery), grandson Oscar Flores Jr. nephew Austin Garner (Aurora and soon to be baby boy), her sister Carroll Garner and three brothers Don (Deanna) Garner, Calvin Garner, and Alan Garner as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband Eddy Timmons, parents Elva and Frank Garner. Her grandma Amy Garner was her best friend aka Granny. Her sister Sally Anderson and brother Frankie Garner. Five grandchildren Elektra Flores, Maycie Smith, Zayden Smith, twin’s Tavyah and Taven Moelling, brother-in-law Keith Anderson, sister-in-law Susan Garner, nephew, Christopher Garner and, great nephew Brice Anderson, and many aunts and uncles.
Crystal, Salina and Oscar Jr. would like to give a big Thank You to Geffery Moelling for being here since day one, helping with mom and to St Luke’s Magic Valley Hospital and Hospices etc. Salina wants to give a Huge shout out of Thanks to All EMS (especially RJ Rodriquez he was a special person to the family even outside of EMS), Thanks too all who ever came to the house to help with our momma along with Minidoka Memorial Hospital ER Staff. Also thank you to Joel Heward for always being there for the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
