Linda Viola Jane Valero

Linda "Doll"  Valero, 61, of Rupert, passed away on July 9th, 2024, with her children by her side.  

Linda was born on September 13th 1962, to Louie and Lola Madrid in Nyssa, OR. After graduating from Nyssa High School in 1981, she  went on to take a few computer courses in college. 

Thanks to her brothers' influence, Linda fell in love with Jessie Hernandez Valero, and they married on April 20th, 1982. Shortly after they were married, they moved to Rupert. She enjoyed making frequent trips back up to Oregon to visit. Together, they had three children, JR, Louetta, and Catarina. 

Linda dedicated her life to being a loving and wonderful momma bear. She excelled at propping up her children and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was when they brought home (and adopted) all kinds of animals, working long hours in the fields, being the family warden, or supporting her daughters through beauty school, she made it her mission to improve the lives of her kids. 

Linda was a passionate animal lover. Her dogs were her babies. When she wasn’t filling her home with barks and wagging tails, she could be found walking along the animal pens at the fair talking about bringing every animal  home with her.
She loved growing things in her garden and watching everything turn green again after a harsh winter. One of her favorite things to do was to sit outside watching the fields around her grow while her own garden grew along side it.  She also loved roses and planned on having a big rose garden someday.  
Linda also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed things like getting out under a waterfall, attending BBQs, going to the park,  and just sitting around having a good BS session with coffee. We will miss her greatly.

Linda was predeceased by her sweetheart Jessie,  her parents Lola & Louie, her older brother Joe "Hezz," and her older sister Louetta Jane. 

She is survived by her brothers Louie  "Butch" & Robert "Cheezo", her children Jr (Layla), Louetta (Ruben), Catarina, her grandchildren Savannah, Anyssa, Adrian, Jaykob, Dominic, Trace, Jocelyn, Lola, Sulema, Fatima and her great-grandson Arron.

The family requests that all flowers and notes be sent to Hansen Mortuary. There will be a celebration of life on July 20th at 3pm at the Rupert West Stake Center.  26 S 100 W, Rupert, ID 83350. Arrangements are under the care of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary
