Margarita Arteaga Obituary

 

Margarita Arteaga Navarrete, 60, of Rupert, Idaho, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025. She was born on April 30, 1965, in Tzintzuntzan, Michoacán, Mexico, to Roberto Navarrete and Anita Ruiz, who preceded her in death.

Margarita spent much of her time outdoors tending to her yard, watering her flowers, and caring for her garden. She loved raising her chickens and spending time with her beloved dog, Nutella, a Chihuahua who was always by her side. Margarita’s life was filled with joy, energy, and devotion to her family. She also enjoyed doing puzzles in her free time.

A woman of deep faith, Margarita was passionate about her religious beliefs and practiced them with dedication throughout her life. Her spirituality was the foundation of her strength and a guiding light for her family and friends. She also loved cooking for her family and was known for making delicious meals that brought everyone together around the table.

She is survived by her loving husband, Vidal Arteaga, and their three children: Oralia Arteaga, Juan Arteaga, and Daniel Arteaga. Margarita leaves behind five grandchildren—Natalie Arteaga, Jeffrey Juarez, Erick Juarez, Julio Juarez—and step-granddaughters Toni Ann Goins and Anali Partida Estrada. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Adonis Michael Juarez, Sergio Cobio, and Hannah Airam.

Margarita’s legacy of faith, love, kindness, and the warmth of her cooking will continue to live on through her family and the countless lives she touched.

As everyone would remember, Margarita would say, “Remember that God is always with you.”

Obituary for Margarita Arteaga Navarrete

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Viewing for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2025, with the Rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. at Hansen Mortuary, Rupert, Idaho. Services will conclude with burial at the Rupert Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.

 

 

Margarita Arteaga Navarrete, de 60 años, de Rupert, Idaho, falleció en paz el 27 de agosto de 2025. Nació el 30 de abril de 1965 en Tzintzuntzan, Michoacán, México, hija de Roberto Navarrete y Anita Ruiz, quienes le precedieron en la muerte.

Margarita pasó gran parte de su tiempo al aire libre cuidando su jardín, regando sus flores y atendiendo su huerto. Le encantaba criar gallinas y pasar tiempo con su perrita querida, Nutella, una chihuahua que siempre estuvo a su lado. La vida de Margarita estuvo llena de alegría, energía y devoción a su familia. También disfrutaba de armar rompecabezas en su tiempo libre.

Mujer de profunda fe, Margarita fue apasionada por sus creencias religiosas y las practicó con dedicación durante toda su vida. Su espiritualidad fue la base de su fortaleza y una luz guía para su familia y amigos. También amaba cocinar para su familia y era conocida por preparar comidas deliciosas que reunían a todos alrededor de la mesa.

Le sobreviven su amado esposo, Vidal Arteaga, y sus tres hijos: Oralia Arteaga, Juan Arteaga y Daniel Arteaga. Margarita deja cinco nietos: Natalie Arteaga, Jeffrey Juarez, Erick Juarez, Julio Juarez, así como sus nietastras Toni Ann Goins y Anali Partida Estrada. También le sobreviven tres bisnietos: Adonis Michael Juarez, Sergio Cobio y Hannah Airam.

El legado de fe, amor, bondad y el calor de su cocina continuará vivo a través de su familia y de las innumerables vidas que tocó.

Como todos recuerdan, Margarita solía decir: “Recuerden que Dios siempre está con ustedes.”

La Misa de Funeral Cristiana se llevará a cabo el miércoles 3 de septiembre de 2025 a las 11:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica de San Nicolás. El velorio para familiares y amigos se llevará a cabo el martes 2 de septiembre de 2025 de 6:00 a 8:00 p.m., con el Santo Rosario comenzando a las 7:00 p.m. en Hansen Mortuary, Rupert, Idaho. Los servicios concluirán con el entierro en el Cementerio de Rupert. Los arreglos están bajo la dirección de Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
