Marjorie Bell Steele Larsen passed away peacefully at her home in Paul, Idaho on May 1, 2022 at the age of 103.
Marjorie was born August 20, 1918 to Mary and Ralph Steele in Heuvelton, New York. She lived on her parents’ dairy farm till meeting and marrying a young soldier, Clifford Larsen. After the war, in 1947 they moved their family to a farm in Aberdeen, Idaho.
In 1958 they became homesteaders northwest of Paul. They worked as a team to develop the farm, there wasn't much mom couldn't do.
She drove tractor, irrigated, and drove truck in the harvest, till the age of 86. She was a great animal lover, raising calves, horses, and her many pets. Marjorie and Cliff were married 70 years until Clifford passed away at the age of 97 in 2012.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter Susan (Jerome) Pastwick and family of Salem, Oregon;
son John (Vivian) Larsen and family of Paul, Idaho; sister Betty Steele (age 97) of Ogdensburg, New York,
grand-children, Trish (Kelly) Larsen Smith; Spencer Larsen; Lora (Paul) Campbell; Catherine Pastwick; Dan Eppers;
Rich Eppers; and Lora Eppers Stone; ten great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.
She was especially close to her great-grandson Marshall Kloer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Bright Focus Foundation.
Private Graveside Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Paul Cemetery. Viewing for family and friends will be held 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the services. Services are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
