MaryLynn Nelson, 56 years old, passed away peacefully on June 19th, 2022, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
MaryLynn was born in Grundy Center, Iowa on March 10th, 1966, to Lyle and MaryLou Carter.
MaryLynn grew up in Willow Lake, South Dakota, then married Tracy Nelson and they moved to Clark, South Dakota where they had 4 children Lee Nelson, Nicole (Reynolds) Nelson, Abby (Hall) Nelson and Colten Nelson. In 1993 MaryLynn then moved her family to Watertown, South Dakota.
In 2004 MaryLynn then moved to Rupert, Idaho where she then met and was engaged to Tracey Giles.
MaryLynn was the youngest child of 4 siblings.
Growing up she was a momma’s girl, everywhere her mom went she followed. MaryLynn loved to play with her dolls and bake with her mother. MaryLynn was very neat and tight person, she liked to have everything in its place and not a speck of dust in sight. She loved to listen to music and dance no matter where she was. MaryLynn was a hard worker as long as she didn’t get dirt on her, but she would do anything for her family.
MaryLynn’s favorite hobbies were writing poems, coloring, listening to music, dancing and to talk with whoever would have a listing ear or not. MaryLynn was a very happy, beautiful, wonderful person to be around, and she could light up a room the second she walked in.
MaryLynn went to college at Lake Area Technical College in Watertown, SD where she received her Associates degree in Medical Technology.
MaryLynn is survived by her siblings,
Pam (Jon) Keszler, Jesse Carter, Kristy (Todd) Rasmusson and her children Lee (Katie) Nelson, Nicole (Rony) Reynolds, Colten (Yessica) Nelson, and fiancé Tracey Giles, along with several grandchildren.
MaryLynn is preceded in death by her parents Lyle & MaryLou Carter, her brother Woody Carter and her daughter Abby (Hall) Nelson.
