Merrill Billy Albertson (82) Of Paul, ID. passed away Wednesday July 17, 2024 at St. Lukes Hospital, Twin Falls, ID following a short illness. The family expresses gratitude to the Staff at St. Lukes for the compassion shown to Merrill and his family.

Merrill born to Merrill Toner Albertson and Marjorie Balmforth Albertson. Merrill was one of nine children. As a teenager he moved with his family to Paul, Idaho.

Shortly after moving to Paul, Merrill met Linda Lue Manning, They were Married June 13, 1961. Together they have four Children. Melynda (Joe) Kearl, James (Rebecca) Albertson, Kristie (John) Johnston, Amie (Al) Wilcox.

Merrill was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. And had a solid testimony of the scriptures and of his Savior Jesus Christ.

Merrill spent many years working with his dad and brothers on the family farm. Later he worked as a Mechanic at Stimpy's until his retirement.

Merrill  loved working with his hands. He spent many hours in his garden, working on cars and farm equipment. He would “tinker” with anything that was broken, and could fix almost everything. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, and camping. He was always the jokester telling jokes and pranking others.

He taught all his kids the importance of hard work, doing whatever was necessary to provide for his family. He enjoyed watching and cheering for the Broncos, Denver and Boise State.

He is survived by his wife and four children, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Brothers and Sisters Christine Hunter, MaryAnn Engkraf, Kathleen Hendrix, Gwendolyn Catmull, Michael Albertson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Richard, Gary, and Joseph Albertson.

Graveside service will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday July 23, 2024 at the Paul Cemetery. Viewing for family and friends will be 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Hansen Mortuary.  Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
