Heaven gained another hard-working angel. Michael Todd Earl was taken from us way to soon do to a heart attack. Mike was born December 12"' 1960 to Royal and Laura Earl. He was born in Ontario, Oregon but resided in New Plymouth, Idaho which eventually the family moved to Hazelton, Idaho. He attended school in Hazelton, Idaho and attended High School at Valley High from there he moved to the Burley Rupert area where he then married Marilyn Baumgartner September 19th 1981 where he gained to stepdaughters Katrina Tracy and Tabatha Baumgartner and they had two children together Tiffiny and Kassie and later divorced.
He then married Sandee Longmore in 1995 which he gained two stepchildren Melissa Chantell Hernandez and Trevor Jay Waters and later divorced. Mike never married after his marriage to Sandee. In 2008 he met Carroll Garner where he gained a stepson Austin Gardner. Mike was a free spirit which anyone that knew him would agree. He was with the love of his life Catrina Dudley since 2018 at the time of his passing in Rupert and had gained another Stepdaughter Kortney Santos, and stepson Kody Santos.
He was the oldest-of seven siblings and survived by Carma Lingnaw of Challis, Duaine Earl of Rupert, Denise (Mark Martin) of Rupert, Gail ( Byron Hatch of Tennessee ) Anita ( Don Jesser) Twin Falls, Debbie ( Kris Lindstrom ) of Nampa. his children Tiffany (Robert Sanchez of Burley , Kassie Luna ( Taylor Davids) of Rupert, Mike also found out he had a daughter which he did not get the pleasure of meeting before taken so soon Amanda Knight of Williston North Dakota. He has one aunt left Grace Supan of Utah. Michael was proceeded in death by his Father Royal and Mother Laura Earl, of Rupert, Grandpa Cline Sidner, Grandma Wynoma Sidner of Caldwell Idaho, Mike had 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
When Mike was younger he loved working on ranches working with Black Angus bulls on the Brooks Ranch which he would show at the county fairs and took home several ribbons. He even came home with a horse that he had not gotten permission from mom and dad. He had a passion for horseback riding, hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. Mike started roofing at a very early age with his father and brother Duaine and was probably one of the best roofers in the Magic Valley next to Royal. They probably, have roofed more than half of the homes on the river during the new construction of homes in the 90’s and 2000’s working with various contractors. Mike also loved gardening which meant more work for his younger sisters which they loved canning for him just like his momma would do. Mike was always willing to help his family and friends . He was a very hard worker with great strength and could almost move mountains or close to it. If Mike was not working you could find him on a fishing bank or see him cleaning up debris left behind by others which really made him angry . Mike was a quiet man unless you knew him , he had a laugh similar to his father but he could make people laugh and smile. Mike did not realize he had quilting talent like his mother but the people’s lives that he touched are quilting
blocks that he created while he touched the lives of the people that he loved and loved him back, so each and every one of us are in heaven with the huge Quilt that he is holding close to his heart. Mike will truly be missed by all that touched his life in one way or another. He is now the free spirit he always was reunited with his mom and dad.
"LIFE IS ALWAYS GREAT AS LONG AS YOU DONT WEAKEN" that was his motto.
A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Friday August 16, 2024 at the Rupert Elks Lodge. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
