On July 13th, 2024, Nile Frank Maricle of Rupert, Idaho (born May 23, 1940), passed away peacefully at the age of 84. Nile graduated with his diploma from Minico High School in 1958. He began his professional career in banking, and worked as a loan officer, at Idaho First National Bank. Several years later, he began working in Irrigation Sales and Service; and eventually decided to start his own business - Snake River Irrigation. After years of entrepreneurship, Nile decided to return to banking and finish his career at Farmers National Bank, in Jerome, Idaho. Nile is preceded in death by his grandparents Frank and Ella Maricle, and his parents Wilna and Ernie Maricle. He leaves behind his two sisters Vernell Cowell and Rheta Litman; as well as the mother of his children, Colleen Maricle. Nile married Colleen Fowler, from Burley, Idaho, on August 24, 1958. They were married for 30 years, and were blessed with four children: Susan Semmens, Sandy Parish, Scott Maricle, and Steve Maricle. Nile’s loving spirit will be carried on by sixteen grandchildren, and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Nile also leaves behind his companion Kathy Roberts. To honor Nile’s memory, there will be a service on August 24th at 11:00AM in the Senior Center of Rupert Idaho. The family requests a donation to the Senior Center of Rupert, ID in lieu of flowers.
