Olivia Martinez Obituary

Olivia Martinez, 70, of Heyburn, Idaho passed away on December 8, 2020. She was born of parents, Jose Guadalupe Martinez and Tiburcia Arreola Martinez, on July 12, 1950 in Mexico.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race , I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord , the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day- and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.  2 Timothy 4: 7-8

Olivia was the proud mother of Carlos Badillo (Alicia) and Diana Badillo Dominguez and a son in-law  Salvador Dominguez , as well as grandmother to Joshua Dominguez . Olivia was a dedicated member of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall  in Burley, Idaho and demonstrated her strong faith and always shared her biblical knowledge.  Olivia loved reading, learning and staying educated. Some of her hobbies included baking , traveling, and spending time with family in Arizona. She loved her brother Rigoberto,, Enrique, Gilberto, and her sister Rosita.

After retirement from Amalgamated Sugar Olivia dedicated  her time and efforts to be her mother’s “Tiburcia Martinez” full-time caregiver and did an amazing job at taking care of her.  She also loved cooking for her brother Enrique Martinez (they were very close and have always been next-door neighbors) and always made sure he was taken care of. She was an amazing aunt to all of her nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed for her unique personality and love she gave them.

Olivia is preceded in death by her father , Jose Guadalupe Martinez,  her sister , Lupita Martinez Gonzales, and her youngest brother Toñin Martinez.

Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out – those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.  John 5: 28-29

A Memorial Speech by Charlie Tenorio will be held virtually via Zoom ID: 898 070 9456 (passcode 1914) on, December 11, 2020 at 7:00 PM.

The Martinez family would like to thank, St Luke's Hospital and Cassia Hospital for their great services in caring for Olivia, and special recognition to the ICU unit for their quick responsiveness.

Until we meet again in paradise.

He peleado la buena batalla, he terminado la carrera, he mantenido la fe.
