Patricia Marie Winningham

Patricia Marie Winningham, 80, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at her home in Rupert, Idaho surrounded by her family.

She was born in Burley, Idaho on March 17, 1939 to Jake and Mary Anderson. When her mom Mary passed away, that loving mother role was filled by Leona Anderson. She was the oldest of the siblings. She had three brothers: Lonnie, John, and Howie. She also had three sisters: Diane, Vickie, and Saundra. When she was in the 7th grade, she met her lifelong best friend Arlene Rosa. Together they shared a lifetime of adventures, secrets, sorrows, and amazingly wonderful memories. In 1955, she met the love of her life, Wally Winningham. She graduated from Minico High School in 1957 and she and Wally were married on September 20th of the same year.

Together they were blessed with three children: Danny (Theresa) Winningham of Taylorsville, CA, Lori (Bill) Blair of Rupert, ID, and Stacey Winningham, also of Rupert, ID. They were later blessed with four grandsons: Jared (Jenny) Fairchild, Chase (KD) Blair, Ryan (Kelsey) Winningham, and Andrew Winningham. They also had 4 granddaughters: Hayley (Adam) Dayley, Dustyn (Luke) Adam, Cortney (Steven) Dolloff, and Kyndri (Scott) Velasco. They also had 17 great grandchildren.

Patty loved fishing, camping, football (especially Boise State) and playing cards. Between her and Wally they taught their family humor, patience, kindness, and most importantly love. We could not have asked for a better mom and grandmother. In June of 2017 she lost the love of her life, Wally, 3 months shy of their 60th wedding anniversary and has been waiting for their beautiful reunion ever since. Wally came to take her home with him February 18th. She was greeted in heaven by her loving husband, her dad, both her moms, her grandparents, two brothers, one sister, and her great granddaughter.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Hansen Mortuary Rupert, Idaho 710, 6th Street Rupert, Idaho 83350 Services are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
