Phyllis Patricia Velasquez Taylor, 88, a beloved figure of Prescott Valley, AZ, sadly left our world on January 16, 2025, after a life richly lived in service and kindness. She was born in Burley, Idaho on March 17, 1936. Known for her dedication to her faith and providing the best care and sharing her unending love with the children in her thriving daycare business. Phyllis was a beacon of light and hope in her community, touching lives through her caring and kind spirit and her positive attitude.
Phyllis is survived by her sisters Theressa (John) Henscheid, Sister Mary Esther Velasquez, and Deborah Mackley. Her children are Cecelia (Paul) Paxton, Mark Mosby and Dawn Margowski. Her grandchildren Laurie (Shawn) Vasquez, Iain Scott Davis, Aaron Kester, Garrett Kester, Hannah (Lukas) Mosby; Elijio Mosby. Her great grandchildren Eoin Vasquez, Deaglan Vasquez, Ronan Vasquez, Rori Mosby and Birdy Mosby.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Phyllis Pearl Velasquez, her brothers Donald Velasquez and Philemon Joe Velasquez and her sister Geneva Irwin. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
