Remington Hodges Obituary

Remington Hodges, 7, of Burley has tragically passed away on April 20, 2025 in Bullhead City, Arizona. He was born on March 24, 2018 to Chassidy Kimber and James Hodges in Burley, Idaho, and was taken from us entirely too soon.

He was met at the pearly gates by his brother Colt Kimber, his sister Jordin Kimber, PawPaw Mike Dawson, Uncle Ryder Johnson, Uncle Timothy McRae JR, and many cousins and other family members.

Remington spent a large amount of his short life on horseback with his mother and father. He loved riding his horse Red and herding cows with his heeler Bo. He was also involved in 4-H and loved being around the “big trucks”. He loved going on rides and spending time with the calves and baby goats in the springtime. There wasn’t a single day that you’d find him anywhere that wasn’t the barn or one of the many fishing holes that he, his father, and his uncles were at that day. Remington was the definition of a cowboy even at such a young age.

Remington is survived by his parents, Chassidy Kimber of Burley, Idaho and James Hodges of Kiowa, Colorado, sister Madison Hodges of Paul, Idaho, grandpa Chris Simmons of Burley, Idaho, grandpa Justun McCall of Paul, Idaho, great grandmother Susi McCall (Mike) of Paul, Idaho,  uncle Jaydin Rodriguez (Heaven) of Heyburn, Idaho , uncle Cody Simmons of Burley, Idaho, uncle Luke Davis of Ridgefield, Washington, aunt Laramie McCall (Bradon) of Rupert, Idaho, Uncles Ashton and Justin Rodriguez of Burley, Idaho, aunt Lacey Simmons of Rupert, Idaho, aunt Rose Kienitz of Emmett, Idaho, uncle Drake Moe of Burley, Idaho, uncle Hunter Newman of Tokyo, Japan, aunt Isabella Elsing of Filer, Idaho, uncle Sean Baker of Bullhead City, Arizona, aunt Kascie Prestwich of Pocatello, Idaho, uncle Mason Kimber of Paul, Idaho, aunt Tiesha Logan (Trevor) of Twin Falls, Idaho, aunt Mikela Mitchell of Mount Vernon, Washington, aunt Tejara Mattson of Smithfield, Utah. Various other friends and other family members are also remembered. His spirit will live on in every memory and smile of his family. Remington had a personality that was contagious and friendly to everyone he met.
