Rodney Steven Wodskow, a beloved member of the Burley, Idaho community, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on January 25, 1956, to John Arnold Wodskow and Genevieve Johnson Wodskow, Rodney's life was a testament to the power of friendship, love, and community.
Rodney attended Minico High School in Rupert, he was known for his spirited participation on the Spartan football team. His warm heart and welcoming nature made him a friend to all, and he cherished the moments spent surrounded by loved ones.
Rodney found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was residing at Highland Estates, sharing laughter with friends while visiting Twin Falls, or attending church services with his local congregation at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His faith and community were central to his life, and he was grateful for the many friends and family members who enriched his journey with their kindness and support.
Rodney is survived by his loving brother, John (Bette) Wodskow Jr. of Springfield, Oregon; and his cherished sisters, Christy (David) Kerbs of Kirkland, Washington; Kathleen (Myron) Kubo of St. George, Utah; and Jennine (David) Kidd of Thousand Oaks, California. He was preceded in death by his father, John; mother, Genevieve; and brother, David.
Rodney's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who touched his life. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the memories of those who loved him. A celebration of Rodney's life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor the joy, he brought into their lives.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday October 14, 2025, at the Burley 10th Ward Chapel. Viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Services will conclude with burial in the Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
