Rodney Rocky Morton Obituary

Obituary for Rodney Lynn Morton

2/4/59-2/20/2026

Rodney "Rocky" Lynn Morton is in the arms of his Savior. He passed early in the morning of February 20, 2026. Born on February 4, 1959, Rocky grew up in Idaho, Twin Falls for the first five years and Rupert for most of the rest of his life. He attended Minico High School and earned his GED in 1977.

Rocky spent time in Arizona and he lived in Ketchum for many years where he worked for Lykes Insulation. He ultimately came back home to Rupert where his life took many directions. Making and caring for friends and family, Rocky found his life's purpose during those years.

After an accident that nearly took his life, Rocky assumed the task of taking care of his mother, Lois, as she aged. He spent the last chapter of his life loving and caring for her and spreading the word of God. Rocky's faith brought so many to the Cross. His steadfast adherence to the Lord became his calling card.

Rocky is survived by his brother, Larry (Arleigh) Morton, his sister, Janelle (Rick Andersen) Dallolio, his son, Jack Morton, his son, Levi (Tosha) Morton, his stepdaughters Melissa (Jim) Armstrong and Michelle (Dallas) Thornton, and his stepson, Wade Thornton. Rocky was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Lou Morton and his sister, Patty (Rod) Fisher.

Memorial Services for family and friends will be 11:00 a.m. March 7, 2026, at Praise Chapel in Rupert. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
