Rusbel Saenz, 60, passed away Saturday April 29 2023 at in Twin Falls, Idaho at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center with his family and loved ones by his side.
Rusbel was born August 30, 1962 in Multnomah County, Oregon to Guadalupe Barrientos and Adolfo Gonzalez. He had 10 brothers and two sisters. Evelio (Rosalba) Saenz, Benito Sr. (Rosa) Lozano, Richard (Nancy) Saenz, Ramona De la Mora, Rosa (Porfirio) Guzman, Adolfo Jr. (Martha) Saenz, Rolando Saenz, Guadalupe Saenz, Arturo Saenz, Armando (Judi)Saenz, Antonio (Veronica)Saenz, and Alberto Saenz.
From a young age, Rusbel learned how to be a hard worker while migrating with his family. They migrated from Oregon, Florida, Georgia, and California before settling in Washington. At the age of 17 he was the first to hit the highway after learning how to drive truck from being around his brothers. His life and passion was out on the road. It was his home.
Rusbel was a unique individual that could light up a room with stories and have people laughing. He loved music, dancing, and eating. He was either having a "little snack" or planning the next meal before he was even done. He also liked to look good. With his button up shirts, jeans, cowboy hat, boots and buckle he was ready to go out.
In 2013, he was reunited with his childhood girlfriend Martha Pacheco. They were married on February 14, 2014. They would spend the next years of their lives together in Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, brother Benito Lozano Sr., and niece Maria Bonifacia Palomino.
He is survived by his wife Martha Saenz, his children Veronica Saenz, Samantha (Fred) Lopez, Robert (Jasmin) Saenz, Rusbel Jr. (Cristina) Saenz, Fabian Saenz, Tammy (Devin) Whitney. As well as his bonus children from marriage Janet(Benny) Molina, Anthony Pacheco, and Laura Pacheco. He was blessed with a big family that included a combined 25 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at Hansen Mortuary in Rupert on Friday, May 12, 2023,from 5 to 8 PM.
